New Managing Director for B+T Energie France SAS: With Jens Peitan, the company will have new management as of 1 July 2023 – and thus even before the first fuel is added to the newly built power plant in Chalampé, France.

Jens Peitan has many years of in-depth experience in the planning, construction and operation of waste-to-energy plants. Most recently, Peitan was head of the department for thermal waste treatment and plant manager at the Berlin municipal sanitation department – with responsibility for 200 employees. In this position, he ensured waste disposal security in the German capital.

The new managing director Jens Peitan is looking forward to the new challenge in Chalampé, where the B+T Group will operate the first private-sector power plant for thermal waste utilisation in France: “With the transfer to regular operation and the expansion of the business area, major tasks await B+T Energie France SAS. I am very pleased to use my experience to continue this pioneering work of the entire group in France.”

Dr Stefan Bleckwehl, overall responsible for the power generation division in the B+T Group, also praises the reinforcement: “With Jens Peitan, we are gaining a colleague who brings a wealth of experience with him and will be a great support for the division.”
