B+T GroupNew leadership duo: With Tim Wilms and Andreas Müller, the B+T Group is setting the course for its next phase of growth

Alsfeld. Following the change of ownership completed in 2025 and with a view to the B+T Group’s continued growth trajectory, the environmental services company is taking the next logical step in its leadership structure. On 1 January 2027, Tim Wilms will take up the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the B+T Group, whilst Andreas Müller will join as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Ralf Bohn, who has shaped the company as Managing Director for over three decades and built it into one of the leading companies in the waste management and recycling sector in Germany, will move to the Board of the B+T Group as part of this reorganisation and will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity as an expert. He will also remain a minority shareholder in the company.

This restructuring at the top of the company is taking place as part of the change of ownership completed in 2025, through which the infrastructure fund Igneo Infrastructure Partners acquired a majority stake in the B+T Group as a new shareholder. With the appointment of Tim Wilms and Andreas Müller, the B+T Group is sending a strong signal of continuity and the consistent pursuit of its growth strategy.

“I am delighted that we have been able to appoint Tim Wilms as our CEO – an extremely dynamic and accomplished industry expert, as well as a leader with international experience,” says Ralf Bohn. “With his professional expertise, drive and many years of experience, Tim Wilms is ideally suited to drive forward the B+T Group’s growth plans. I am also delighted to welcome Andreas Müller to the B+T Group as a highly experienced and forward-thinking CFO. He will guide B+T on its growth trajectory with a consistent and clearly structured approach. On behalf of the entire B+T Group, I extend a warm welcome to both of them.”

Tim Wilms is joining the B+T Group from a role as Managing Director at the Remondis Group. At Remondis, he has been responsible in recent years for the collection and processing of electronic waste, material flow management, and the further development of electronic waste recycling in Germany, France, Austria and Poland. He has more than ten years of experience in the areas of corporate management, material flow management and processing, as well as in strategic corporate development and corporate transactions.

Tim Wilms says: “I grew up in the waste management sector and have been working in this diverse and socially important industry for more than ten years. Taking on the role of CEO of the B+T Group is a particular honour for me and, at the same time, an exciting business challenge. I look forward to continuing the Group’s successful development together with the B+T Group team. B+T possesses extensive operational expertise, dedicated teams and a strong position in a market undergoing dynamic change. My aim is to preserve what has been tried and tested, consistently tap into potential and further develop the company in a sustainable, reliable and economically successful manner.”

Andreas Müller has more than 20 years of experience in senior management roles in industrial businesses, most recently as CFO of the Stark Group in Austria. With Andreas Müller, the B+T Group gains a dynamic, forward-looking and experienced executive who will play a key role in shaping the Group’s strategic direction and sustainable development. A key focus of his work will be to systematically further develop the processes and structures necessary for further growth and, where required, to establish new ones.

Joachim Rumstadt, Chairman of the Board: “First and foremost, I would like to thank Ralf Bohn for his extremely successful work for the company and warmly welcome him to his new role.

The mandate for the new operational management team is to build on the foundations laid over the past decades in order to further develop the B+T Group, both organically and through targeted investments, and to position it for the future in the face of the challenges posed by the changing waste management and recycling market. This sets the course for the next phase of growth.”
