B+T Energie GmbH WitzenhausenA strong partnership enters the 2nd round

In the RDF power plant in Witzenhausen, large parts of the residual waste in southern Lower Saxony will be thermally recycled for another 10 years. The B+T Group once again prevailed over a large group of bidders in a Europe-wide tender and was awarded the contract for the period from 2024. Around 35,000 tonnes of processed residual waste will then enter the RDF power plant annually.

The partnership between the B+T Group and the Abfallzweckverband Südniedersachsen (South Lower Saxony Waste Association) has now existed for 14 years, during which the association has been supplying the processed high-calorific fraction from the processing plant in Deiderode to the B+T Energie power plant in Witzenhausen. This is a large part of the residual waste from the city and district of Göttingen and the district of Northeim.

In a second part of the tender for about 12,000 tonnes per year of processed bulky waste was also awarded to the B+T Group. This quantity will be thermally recycled in the Hameln waste incineration plant over the next 5 years in cooperation with Enertec Hameln GmbH. Once again, strong regional partners have come together to offer an ecologically and economically optimal solution for the region.
