Umweltdienste Bohn GmbHB+T Group wins Europe-wide tender

The B+T Group has now been awarded the contract for residual waste disposal for the districts of Schwalm-Eder and Marburg-Biedenkopf in a Europe-wide tender.

From 1 January 2026, 58,000 tonnes of residual municipal waste will be processed annually at the treatment plant in Weidenhausen and most of it will be thermally recycled in Witzenhausen. The new contract will run for up to 13 years.

This major contract will help to secure the necessary quantities of waste for the power plant in Witzenhausen for a long time and secure jobs in Weidenhausen until 2038.
