B+T Group AlsfeldNew PV system for the head office in Alsfeld

The B+T Group works on sustainable solutions every day – and is now taking another step forward in its own energy supply: a photovoltaic system has now been installed on the roof of the building and the neighbouring garage at the headquarters in Alsfeld. “The new PV system will have a peak output of 80 kWp,” explains Hagen Rinke, who is in charge of the project at B+T and was supported by Dennis Bohn. The electricity generated will be used for the site’s own needs.

“In addition, a charging station with two charging points for e-cars will be set up, allowing charging at 22 kW each,” Rinke continues. The details for “tapping electricity” at the charging points are currently being worked out and will be sent to all colleagues before commissioning.

The Alsfeld site is just the start of an extensive expansion with PV systems. Step by step, further systems are to follow – this is currently being tested for feasibility. A start has been made at the processing sites in Weidenhausen, Deuna and Buseck. A charging station with two charging points is also being installed at each of these three sites and at the site in Horn.
